Privacy Policy

This page explains what happens with your data when you visit componyx.com or use the contact form. In short: very little and only what's needed to respond to you.

Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy describes how Componyx ("Componyx," "we," "us," or "our") handles your information in connection with componyx.com and the services made available on this site. For any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach out via the contact page.

Analytics

Componyx.com uses GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read. GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not create a unique profile of you and does not store your IP address. Your IP address is briefly hashed to count unique visits within an 8-hour window, after which the hash cannot be reversed or linked back to you.

Because GoatCounter does not process personal data in a way that identifies you, no cookie consent banner is required for this analytics use and no data is transferred outside the European Union through this service.

Analytics are used purely to understand which pages are useful and where to improve the documentation, not to track individuals or build profiles.

Contact form

The contact page lets you send a message directly. When you submit the form, the following is collected:

Your name
Your email address
Your company or organization, if you provide one
The reason for contact you select
The message you write

This information is used only to respond to your message and is sent by email to a mailbox only we have access to. It is not shared with any third party, not used for marketing and not added to any mailing list. Messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any related follow-up, after which they are deleted.

The form also includes two automated checks to filter out spam submissions: a hidden field that real visitors never see or fill in and a timing check that rejects submissions completed suspiciously fast. Neither of these collects any personal data beyond what's listed above.

Hosting and email

Componyx.com is hosted within the European Union. As with any hosting provider, technical logs (such as IP addresses and request data) may be processed automatically by the hosting infrastructure as part of normal web server operation, independent of the GoatCounter analytics described above.

Messages sent through the contact form are delivered by email via the same hosting provider's infrastructure. No message content is used for any purpose beyond responding to your inquiry.

Your rights

Contact form submissions are received by email and are not stored anywhere else, no database, no analytics tool, nothing beyond that inbox. If you've submitted the contact form, you can ask what's been kept, request a correction or request deletion at any time by reaching out via the contact page. Outside of a contact form submission, componyx.com does not collect or store any personal data that identifies you.
